Upstate New York based Festival Cinema Invisible (FCI) continues its series of matching rarely screened international films with live music, international food and visual art at Proctor’s GE Theatre on Thursday January 8th at 7pm.

7pmThe night will begin with a performance of instrumental international music from Korisoron followed by a rare screening of two short films from Iran:
– Winter Vases
– Someone’s Got To TalkAfshin Katanchi, the lead actor of both films is a resident of Schenectedy and will be at the screening to engage in a Q&A style discussion of the films with FCI President Mahmood Karimi-Hakak.
Mr. Katanchi is also a photographer and will be presenting, “Schenectady and I” an exhibit of his photos of Schenectady.
The evening also features Persian style tea and sweets.
Admission is $10.
