Andrew Stack is a recent graduate of Siena college who studied English and Writing/Communications, who won the major field award in English in Spring 2020. The arts have always been a large part of his life, namely due to his mother’s theater experience and sister’s music and theater experience. Andrew is more interested in how the story is told, specifically with the camera and the script. While at Siena, he took five creative writing classes, one of which was dedicated to writing screenplays. He also studied 20th Century German cinema with Dr. Undine Giguere through films such as The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, The Lives of Others, and Almanya: Willkommen in Deutschland. He discovered Free Culture Invisible by taking Film Theory and Criticism with Dr. Mahmood Karimi Hakak and Dr. Roja Ebrahimi, and is excited to volunteer with the organization and learn more about film!
