Synopsis
A man moves to a small village to work as a teacher and becomes entangled in an obsession with a fairy. In ancient Persian mythology, Pari (ie Faeries) are types of sorceresses or witches. In modern Persian epics (particularly seen in Ferdowsi’s Shanameh), Parī are invariably represented as a benevolent or at least benign supernatural creature who sometimes visit the mortal realm.
